Annette and Max reached out early in the summer for some updated headshots, and we agreed to shoot the portraits on location at their apartment in Pittsburgh's Strip District. It's pretty awesome to be able to walk into a smaller apartment, set up a mini studio, and create some great photos just minutes after arriving.
Max works in commercial real estate and needed headshots for his company as well as social media. Annette is a project manager for a healthcare company, and needed portraits primarily for LinkedIn and her personal training work.
After we finished up headshots inside using a beautiful hand painted backdrop, and a plain white backdrop for multiple looks, we headed outdoors.
Annette is an accomplished collegiate athlete, and a member of the Fleet Feet Pittsburgh New Balance running team. On the side she is also a personal trainer. Part of our pre shoot consultation was talking about the photos that she would like to create to help her personal brand. Once we knew what she needed, we headed outside and worked locations around the Strip District. We ended up shooting until dark before calling it quits.
Being able to shoot on location allows us to shoot headshots during annual meetings and conferences, but also allows us to come to the client to make those special portraits in a relaxed location.
